UPDATE: The landing permit system has officially become a ‘visa on arrival’ system and is now in place for all visitors to Bangladesh.

Unfortunately they have also changed the visa on arrival fees to mirror the visa fees from the country of origin. This is a reciprocal visa fee so it can get quite expensive depending on where
you’re from! We’ll get the full visa fees soon…

Is posible obtain this “Landing Permit on Arrival” and then apply for a Tourist Visa longer than 15 days, after arrive in Dhaka, Bangladesh?

Hey Mikey… I don’t think this is a new thing – the $50 landing permit has been in place for a while. I got one in September last year when returning from Nepal as there was some confusion regarding the validity of my visa.

At that time there were also some other foreigners availing that option.

But yes I agree, better to get a your visa before arriving if possible!
