Suggested reading, a great fiction on Bangladeshi River Dolphin - Irrawadi Dolphin

'The Hungry Tide' by Amitav Ghosh

(originally written in English and Bangla translation is also published.
Amitav Ghosh is son of a diplomat, basically of Bangladeshi origin, later his family migrated to India. Now he lives in NY and teaches in a college.)

One special thing about Bangladeshi Dolphin('Shushuk' in Bangla) is that they are found in rivers (Padma, Yamuna, Brahmaputra...rivers near Sunderbans....) as well. One other river where 'Shushuk' is found is in the river 'Sindth' (which is in Pakistan). Probably in ancient time these mighty rivers were part of ocean.....
