Nice listing of dhaka “khane ka place”, i wanted real dhakai food restaurants listing, hope to pay a visit on those next time while i m in dhaka!

For chinese the best place is Cathay in Gulshan 1. Its a really old restaurant and the decor is crap but the food is authentic and absolutely the best.

For thai, check out At corner in Navana Tower, Gulshan 1 Tower.

For indian food, Sajna in Banani is great.

I thought the Japanese and Chinese restaurant would get a mention in this section, but nothing can beat the Dhaba. When will someone bring that to Australia as the new fast food?
